概述
Microsoft has released a Security Rollup Package (SRP) for Windows 2000 that includes various security updates. This small, comprehensive rollup of updates is an easy mechanism for managing the rollout of security fixes. Applying SRP1 does not change the encryption level of your computer.
Network Installation
This installation option downloads the Security Rollup Package containing the files for all platforms (Professional, Server, or Advanced) but will install only those appropriate for each computer. Because this is self-contained, it will not require an internet connection during the installation. This option is recommended for administrators who have already installed Service Pack 2, and want to set up a Network share for deployment or where any of the systems will not have access to the Internet during installation.
To install Windows 2000 Security Rollup Package, January, 2002 using the Network Installation, click Network Installation under DOWNLOAD . Approximate times for Network Installation: 41 minutes @ 56K | 1 minute @ T1.
